Aphrodite is commonly known as ‘Sea mice’.

Creeping or burrowing animal.

Body is oval in shape.

Head is formed of Prostomium and peristomium.

The prostomium bears a pair of eyes, a median tentacles and a pair of long palpe.

Peristomium bears long cirri.

A flat plate called ‘Elytron’, take place the dorsal cirrus.

Elytron is protective and respiratory in function.

The notopodium produces two kinds of setae, lateral iri descent setae and dorsal stiffer setae.
