• Remain attached to rocks or shell of Gastropods occupied by hermit crab.

• Body is divided into 3 portions – Pedal disc, Column and Oral disc.

• Oral disc with oral tentacles.

• Presence of nematocytes.

• Exihibits “Facultative mutualism” with hermit crab where adamsia provides protection and camouflage and gets food and free ride in return.
