• Predaceous carnivores, preying mostly on insect and spiders.
• Body has 3 divisions- Prosoma, Mesosoma and Metasoma.
• Each region is segmented.
• Prosoma is dorsally covered by a ‘Carapace’ and ventrally by sternum.
• Ventral prosoma bears eyes.
• Seize the prey by their pedipals, paralyzing them by injecting venom.
• Respiratory organs – book lung.
• Excretory organs are Malpighian tubules and coxal glands.
