Refunding VAT
Customers are not entitled to a refund on VAT back, even if the item is being delivered to the Channel Islands.
Schuh is a UK company and the transaction is taking place in the UK, so is therefore subject to UK VAT.
There is a template in Message Manager to explain this to customers.
VAT Receipts
Some schuh customers require a VAT receipt for tax purposes and these can be completed through the order on COA3.
Right click on the order header
Select to send a VAT invoice. This will send through Message Manager with a note of our company VAT number and will apply the correct VAT rate to each product on the order (i.e. no VAT for kids product).
Tax Free Shopping (store only)
Customers must request the VAT Refund forms at the point of purchase.
We cannot issue the forms after the customer has left the store.
