What is the Preference Centre?
The Preference Centre is a new area within the Account section of our website. This will allow our customers to control the information they receive from us, change their account details and amend their marketing preferences. The information visible will be dependent on the type of the account the customer has. If they are not signed up to our SCHUHCLUB for example, the option will be there but the customer will be prompted to sign up.
Who can use the Preference Centre?
schuh account holders and non account holders will be able to access the Preference Centre once they have followed the login process. To login, the customer is sent an activation code which will be active for 20 minutes.
How does a customer log in?
Below you can see how the customer logs in, this is visible when you select the ‘My Account’ tab on of our website. To the left you can see a schuh account holder and the right you can see a non account holder.
Non account holders will input their email address and get a validation code emailed to them to access the Preference Centre.
They have now access to their full account including:
General contact details
SCHUHCLUB
Purchases & Returns
Marketing Preferences
Need Help
In the ‘Your Details’ tab, the customer has the ability to:
Make changes to their account details
View their student discount code (if applicable)
Edit their address
Change their password
Close their account with us
The customer will see their SCHUHCLUB details including points they have received from their previous purchases.
They also have the option to close their SCHUHCLUB account.
The customer will see the same details for their account however as they have not signed up to the SCHUHCLUB they will be prompted to sign up on the tab for ‘The SCHUHCLUB’.
Once logged in, the customer will be able to see a list of their previous orders (online and in store) and returns.
They can also review their purchases.
The customer has the below options within the ‘Marketing Preferences’ tab:
The option to unsubscribe from emails
The option to enable/disable SMS
The option to enable/disable product review emails
The option to unsubscribe from all schuh marketing product review emails resulting in this being disabled too.
The option to unsubscribe from all schuh marketing.
A customer can also unsubscribe from emails but still have product review emails set to enabled.
This section will include a list of our contact details and options should they wish to contact us for any reason.
CMS has since been updated to reflect the changes from this and will look as follows:
As you can see, there are clear tabs at the top left so you can change between these to view the customers account details, purchase history and reviews etc.
