We are making updates to our payment options online and in store. We are offering a new payment provider, Clearpay, both in store and online.
We are now live with a new Adyen checkout, through which customers will be provided a list of ways to make payment, alongside a new option in Clearpay. Clearpay allows the customer to split their payment in 4 over a 6 week period.
The customer will be able to select to pay by card as normal, or one of the other listed methods (image below);
Credit/Debit Card
Apple Pay
Google Pay
Pay later with Klarna
Pay over time with Klarna (Slice it)
Clearpay
PayPal
In each of the Third Party payment options (Klarna, Clearpay and PayPal), the customer will be redirected to the providers own login pages to submit their payment before returning to the schuh website to see their confirmation page.
Visibility in COA3 will confirm if Klarna or Clearpay has been used in the card scheme section. For example, 'Adyen; Klarna Pay Later' or 'Adyen; Clearpay'.
This does mean that any refunds we process for the customer, will be done via the Adyen Portal - and not through any alternate means. This will refund any payments made and update their payment schedule. This does not apply to PayPal payments, which will still need to be processed in PayPal directly.
With all Third Party payment providers, the customer will receive all payment and refund information from Klarna or Clearpay directly. If the customer contacts us with any queries, they should be directed back to the provider. A TRANSACTIONS - Clearpay contact details' template has been added to the Returns Inbox.
Customers can contact Clearpay via the 'Help' section of their Clearpay App or on their website, https://www.clearpay.co.uk/en-GB.
From launch, the customer will not be able to return any online purchases made through Klarna or Clearpay into store - they will have to be returned to Head Office.
We have added a small note to the Returns and Help Pages to explain these temporary issues.
