Memos/Letters of Instruction can originate from Central Maintenance or Region leadership to provide directions, instructions, and/or clarifications to maintenance personnel on how to carry out maintenance activities. Memos of Instruction can cover a variety of topics such as how to operate equipment, procedures for snow removal, and how and when to use materials. Memos of Instruction are reviewed on a timely basis to ensure that the latest information is being provided. As technology, materials, tools, or equipment advance and change, it is important that this information be captured and conveyed to maintenance forces to ensure consistency in performing maintenance activities. Memos are typically named by the year created and then a number that represents the order of memos for that year, example 22-01 (22 = year created, 01= the first memo for that year).
The latest version of Maintenance Memos will be provided on the UDOT Document Repository
