This is adapted from Corinne Trang's Essentials of Asian Cuisine.
- 1.5 - 2 # pork tenderloin, sliced into 3/4-inch thick, 3-4-inch long strips
- 7 T honey
- 2 T hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 T Mirin
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
Combine all ingredients, except the pork, in a covered pan.
Prep tenderloin, removing all excess fat and trimming into strips.
Add pork to marinade, cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or overnight.
Grill strips over high heat for 3 minutes, then flip and grill for another 2 minutes or until nicely charred.
Serve with steamed rice and teriyaki sauce.
