Every month The Raven's Call will feature the beloved pets of the various staff at LDH. This month it's all about autumn leaves and Hallowe'en costumes!
Willow - Ms. Johnson
Meet Willow, my new dog who firmly believes the entire universe is out to get her.
She is highly suspicious of the following:
Falling leaves (obviously dangerous)
Other dogs, cats, and squirrels (undercover agents)
Loud noises (auditory jump scares)
Her own shadow (highly suspicious)
She’s currently enrolled in dog training and we're working daily on improving her life experiences.
Audrey and Hank- Ms. McVeigh
Weiner dogs dressed up as ketchup and mustard. Audrey is the ketchup and Hank is the mustard. Audrey is 6 years old and Hank is 3.
Murphy - Kyle
Murphy is a good boy with a heavy head.
Clarice - Ms. Armstrong
Meowdy, partner!
Dexter - Ms. Sneath
Dexter is a 14 year old rescue dog who's been with us for the past 6 years. Here he is playing the part of Toto in our family's Wizard of Oz theme costumes.
Ruby - Mr. Leduc
Ruby is a 6 years old mini schnauzer, she loves being with people, playing with her fluffy animals and going for hikes in the forest.
Nemo - Ms. Zuck
Nemo is a Havanese who enjoys soaking up the last of the autumn rays.
Charlie - Ms. Lee
Charlie is an energetic 6 years old but does enjoy chilling on the dock at the cottage to appreciate the fall colours.
Argyll and Kipper - Ms. Robinson
Aggie and Kipper are Westies who love to roll and play in the autumn leaves (and bark at squirrels!)
Shady - Mr. Stone
Shady just turned a year old on October 1st. As illustrated, he sometimes enjoys jumping on top of the fridge to supervise my home. He also enjoys running around every morning before I leave for work and drinking the water out of the tap. He is young and still very rambunctious.
Sophie - Ms. Gaffen
Sophie is 5 years old and is a Lagotto Romagnolo. She loves to play ball and go for walks in the forest.
Bruin - Ms. Bech
My goldendoodle Bruin was born on September 9, 2021, and we brought him home October 29 -- just in time for Hallowe'en pictures like this one!
