This 2024 President's Award, by The Society of American Bayonet Collectors, came to me as a huge surprise. The collective knowledge of its membership has been a huge source of information for this work via published books, articles in the SABC Journal and personal contact.  I am proud to have been a member of this group for many years and would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in bayonets to join and support this membership.   

This recognition, from such an elite group of bayonet collectors, is truly an honor to accept.
