George Moller, American Military Shoulder Arms, states that 999 Moore Short Enfield Rifles with a raised saber bayonet stud were produced by John P. Moore’s Sons of New York City between January and March in 1862.
To date, there is very little available information on this rifle and the bayonet has not been identified.
