This large double belt strap leather frog is believed to be US made and probably war time production. It was made to carry a large bayonet or sword with a with a belt loop on the throat mount. The face side of this frog's base, pocket and stud strap have a brown polished finish and a line tooled into the leather around the outer edges. The two belt straps are folded over backward, stitched and riveted. The pocket face is double stitched to the base on both sides. It has a stud strap stitched on the top edge of the pocket and a stud slot cut below the strap.
The back side of this frog is unfinished leather. It is 240 millimeters long and 158 millimeters wide.
