Brass Hilted Sword Bayonets

Belt Frog #2

This large double belt strap leather frog is believed to be US made and probably war time production. It was made to carry a large bayonet or sword with a with a belt loop on the throat mount. The face side of this frog has a black lacquered finish. The two belt straps are folded over backward and riveted. The pocket face is single stitched to the base and riveted at the upward end of the stitching. It has a stud strap stitched on the top edge of the pocket and a stud slot cut below the strap.

The back side of this frog is brown unfinished leather. It is 240 millimeters long and 145 millimeters wide.
