Overall Length is the distance between points A & B.

The overall length of a bayonet is an easy measurement to take but frequently the blade tip has been rounded or sharpened resulting in a reduction in 5 to 10 millimeters or more in the original length. For this reason estimations are sometimes required.

The hilt length plus the blade length should equal to the overall length.
