Hello friends, Welcome to the Mineral Repository at the Department of Geology, Shivaji Science College, Nagpur.

I am Stilbite, a mineral known for my delicate, lustrous crystals and my occurrence in various geological formations around the world. Unlike my tabular and blocky counterparts, my crystals often form in intricate, needle-like structures, giving me a unique appearance within the mineral kingdom.

Geologically, I am commonly found in sedimentary rocks, particularly those of volcanic origin, where I crystallize alongside minerals like zeolites and calcite. You can also encounter me in hydrothermal veins and cavities within igneous rocks.
