Hello friends, Welcome to the  Rock  Repository at the Department of Geology, Shivaji Science College, Nagpur.

I am unakite, a unique and visually striking rock composed of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and quartz. You can often find me in regions with a history of metamorphic activity, such as areas where igneous intrusions have occurred. These areas may include mountainous regions or places with geological faults and fractures. As a semi-precious stone, I am prized for my beautiful color contrast and polished appearance. Jewelry makers often use me in beads, cabochons, and other ornamental pieces, showcasing my unique blend of colors and patterns.
