Hello friends, Welcome to the  Mineral Repository at the Department of Geology, Shivaji Science College, Nagpur.

I am Quartz, a fascinating mineral with a chemical composition of silicon dioxide. My structure is made up of silicon and oxygen atoms arranged in a repeating pattern, giving me my distinct crystalline form. I come in various types, including clear quartz, rose quartz, amethyst, citrine, and smoky quartz, each with its unique color and properties. Clear quartz is known for its clarity and ability to amplify energy, while rose quartz is famous for its pink color and associations with love and compassion. Amethyst, with its purple hue, is often linked to spirituality and healing. Citrine, on the other hand, is a golden-yellow variety associated with prosperity and abundance. Smoky quartz ranges from light gray to brown and is valued for its grounding and protective qualities.
