I am lamprophyre, an Ultrabasic plutonic igneous rock having coarse grained texture. I am formed in deep, volatile-driven melting in a subduction zone. I contain Calcite, Zeolite, Amphiboles, Biotite, Pyroxene, Serpentine etc. In India I am found in Eastern Dharwar Craton(EDC), Mahakoshal supracrustal belt, Sidhi alkaline complex, Gondwana coalfield etc. I am mainly used in construction and Medical industries. I am used as a dimension stone, in Cement manufacture, For road aggregate, Making natural cement, Manufacture of magnesium and dolomite refractories. I am Known for hosting economic minerals such as gold, diamond and base metals. Thank you for visiting
