Arthur Vincent Davis rode his only two winners, both on the appropriately named Arthur’s Bounty, during the 1933/34 National Hunt season.

His first victory on Arthur’s Bounty, trained by Frank Atherton Brown at Bourton-on-the-Water, was in the Longdon Selling Hurdle at Derby on December 18, 1933. It was only the second time he had partnered the three-year-old, who had already been twice successful in November under Billy Parvin.

Arthur finished fourth on Arthur’s Bounty in the Lansdown Selling Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham’s National Hunt Meeting on March 7, 1934. They then did even better by winning the Wye Valley Handicap Hurdle at Chepstow on March 31.

Arthur’s Bounty ran in 18 races during that 1933/34 season, winning four times. That was his final campaign, while Arthur Davis relinquished his licence after just one more season.
