Dear Team Kingsley,
Welcome to the 24-25 school year! It has been so much fun to see many of you in the building over the past few weeks and we cannot wait for Team Kingsley to be reunited on Monday. As you can see, the admin team welcomed Nola Mae into our family on July 29th and Officer Phillips will be back with us on August 19th. We can't wait to hear about your summer celebrations as well. This edition of the KJ Staff Connection is fully loaded so please take some time to digest it this weekend. Have a wonderful weekend and we'll see you on Monday!

The KJHS Back to School Bash is Monday, August 12 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
Please review the KJHS Policies section of the Back to School Kingsley Family Connection and complete the 24-25 KJHS Key Policies & Procedures Form prior to our Team Kingsley meeting on August 12th.
We have shifted the student behavior responsibilities among the administrators. Mr. Larson will be the primary administrator for grades 6 & 7 and Mr. Davis will be the primary administrator for grade 8. Mr. Larson is the primary administrator for 6th grade lunch, Ms. Palmer is the primary administrator for 7th grade lunch, and Mr. Davis is the primary administrator for 8th grade lunch. We will share more about the administrators' duties during our Team Kingsley meeting on 8/12.

We are changing over from aMath/aReading screening assessments to STAR math & reading assessments. We will be doing STAR training on 8/14 and the fall screening window is 8/19 - 8/23.

Megan Peterson is sending out information regarding the mandated trainings in GCN on Monday, August 12th. Please keep your eyes open for that email as it will contain log in/access information. You will be given time throughout the year to complete that training.

The current Negotiated Contract between UFEA and the Board of Education contains a provision that allows certified staff members covered by the Agreement to voluntarily transfer one (1) day of accumulated sick leave to a Sick Leave Bank once each year.
If you wish to transfer one of your accumulated sick leave days to the Sick Leave Bank this year, please complete this form and make a copy for your records. The original must be returned to the Payroll Department, attention Candid Omachel, at the Unit Office by 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2024, or within 10 days of your start date if your employment begins after the first day of school.
