A Note From the Admin Team

The KJHS Back to School Bash is Monday, August 12 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

Please review the KJHS Policies section of the Back to School Kingsley Family Connection and complete the 24-25 KJHS Key Policies & Procedures Form prior to our Team Kingsley meeting on August 12th. 

We have shifted the student behavior responsibilities among the administrators. Mr. Larson will be the primary administrator for grades 6 & 7 and Mr. Davis will be the primary administrator for grade 8. Mr. Larson is the primary administrator for 6th grade lunch, Ms. Palmer is the primary administrator for 7th grade lunch, and Mr. Davis is the primary administrator for 8th grade lunch. We will share more about the administrators' duties during our Team Kingsley meeting on 8/12.

Here is the 24-25 Staff Supervision Schedule. Please contact Mr. Larson with any questions or issues. 

We are changing over from aMath/aReading screening assessments to STAR math & reading assessments. We will be doing STAR training on 8/14 and the fall screening window is 8/19 - 8/23. 

Here is the list of the 24-25 KJHS Registered Student Organizations. Please review if for accuracy and enter your organization's planned meeting times. We are in need for an accurate list so Erik Rich can update our web site for accuracy. 

Megan Peterson is sending out information regarding the mandated trainings in GCN on Monday, August 12th. Please keep your eyes open for that email as it will contain log in/access information. You will be given time throughout the year to complete that training.

Here is the general overview for our institute days on 8/12-8/14. A more detailed agenda will be sent out this weekend.

If you are having an issue with the technology set up in your classroom, please reach out to Amber O'Day. She will be doing updates and problem solving on the afternoon of 8/12. 

Student device distribution and administrative presentations are scheduled for the morning of August 15th. Here is the general plan:

1st Hour - 7th Grade Cafe Talk/8th Grade Computer Pick up in IMC

2nd Hour - 8th Grade Cafe Talk/6th Grade Computer Pick up in IMC

3rd Hour - 6th Grade Cafe Talk/7th Grade Computer Pick up in IMC

Here is an updated 24-25 Master Schedule with individual teachers' schedules (2nd tab). Schedules may have changed based on staffing needs or enrollment changes.

The current Negotiated Contract between UFEA and the Board of Education contains a provision that allows certified staff members covered by the Agreement to voluntarily transfer one (1) day of accumulated sick leave to a Sick Leave Bank once each year.

If you wish to transfer one of your accumulated sick leave days to the Sick Leave Bank this year, please complete this form and make a copy for your records.  The original must be returned to the Payroll Department, attention Candid Omachel, at the Unit Office by 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2024, or within 10 days of your start date if your employment begins after the first day of school.
