WEATHER & COLLEAGUIAL CONSIDERATION
When the weather gets nice, staff understandably loves to take students outside. A couple things to consider.
There are classrooms by the bus lane. Please be thoughtful of teachers with those classrooms & keep students off the bus lane sidewalks & bus lane. There is a grassy area across from the bus lane that will not interfere with learning of other students.
PE teaches outside. If you want to use any indoor spaces other than your assigned classroom, complete the building use form. Outdoor spaces? Use the gym & outdoor use form. This form is also located in our Kingsley Google Classroom.
Given this is our first school-wide, grade-level assembly in several years, I'm looking forward to it being a success! There is some added structure to seating that is detailed on the new schedule & seating chart. If you are bringing students, please sit with them or stand near them to monitor.
KINGSLEY SRO 22-23
I'm happy to share that Corey Phillips will be the 22-23 Kingsley SRO. Woot woot! Officer Phillips was an LBS1 in Bloomington District 87, decided to pursue being an officer for the past several years, & will be combining all those skills as our SRO.
Officer Phillips is scheduled to shadow Officer Paine on May 4 as a portion of his SRO training.
If students see 2 SROs in the building, rumors could begin. (Not in a middle school?!) Feel free to share with students that Officer Phillips is a full-time officer & is being trained by Officer Paine.
If you'd like to countdown until May with some Spirit Days, join in! Countdown here.
