A Note From the Admin Team

The KJHS main office will be open from 9 am - 3 pm from now through July 26th. The office will be closed on June 12, June 19 and July 1-5. Please reach out to Elisa at palmere@unit5.org or (309) 825-3657 if you need anything. 

We are working on fulfilling the room needs listed on the 24-25 Room Needs Sheet. In the meantime, please do not move furniture from other areas of the building into your work space. We are in the midst of a carefully balanced game of furniture Tetris in an effort to meet everyone's needs. 

KJHS will be getting a new security entrance this summer. Construction may begin as early as the end of June.  Air conditioning units have been installed in the Neuman Gym locker rooms and our new bleachers are being installed at the end of August/beginning of September. 

Here is the general cleaning schedule for the summer:

6/10 - 6/14: 1000 hall, locker rooms, & offices

6/17 - 6/21: North end of building

6/24 - 6/28: North end of building

7/1 - 7/5: Main office, guidance office, IMC

7/8 - 7-12: 300 hallway and classrooms

7/15 - 7/19: 200 hallway and classrooms

7/22- 7/26: 100 and 400 hallways and classrooms

7/29 - 8/2: Kitchen and cafeteria

1. The first day for teacher attendance is Monday, August 12.  There will be 3 days of staff institute to begin the school eyar and the students' first day of attendance is August 15th. 

2. KJHS Open Door Schedule: KJHS will host "Open Doors" on 8/6 - 8/8 from 1:30 - 4:30 pm. 

3. The Back to School Bash is 5:30 - 7:30 on Monday, August 12. 

4. 24-25 Supply Lists: 6th Grade, 7-1, 7-2, 8th Grade

We will be scheduling a Team Kingsley get together prior to the start of the school year. We will send that date out in the July Staff Connection. 

Here is an updated draft of the 24-25 Master Schedule with individual teachers' tentative schedules (2nd tab). Schedules may change based on staffing changes or enrollment changes.

Our annual PBIS fundraiser is currently underway! We have a block of tickets available for the Cubs vs. Cardinals game at Busch Stadium on Friday, July 12th, at 7:15 pm. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, please contact Kaleigh. Thank you in advance for your support!
