Section 10.1.2 of the negotiated UFEA contract identifies "Blackout Days" & limitations to the number of certified staff who can take personal days. If there is a specific date you are planning to take a personal day, please get your request in soon.
The UFSPA contract identifies the last 5 days of student attendance as black out dates.

As we head into 4th quarter, which of the items below can you get better at?
Keep students in your classroom whenever possible. Do they really need to visit their locker?
Passes - When students leave your classroom, they must have a pass.
Consider a "no drop and go" policy. One year my team was battling tardies. There were too many students coming in, setting books down then needing to go get something & coming back tardy. We implemented a "no drop and go" policy across the team. This meant that once students came into our room, they stayed until the end of the hour. Yes, it was challenging and worth it.
This was sent to families right before Spring Break.
