It is time to prepare for December Data Day already. (Yes, that means Winter Break is on the horizon.)
FastBridge aReading & aMath Schedule:
A training & help folder is (here).
Reminder: Staff do not need to do anything to prepare for aReading and aMath testing. At the beginning of the testing sessions, students will need to log in to Clever. If you choose, you can share the link to access Clever with your students in Google Classroom. Students will need headphones so they can listen to the test.
Data Day:
December 15, (Data Day Schedule Draft here)
After aReading & aMath, ELA & Math teachers please share your list of ELA & Math students you recommend for intervention on the Cycle 3 Intervention Recommendations sheet by 12.9.
Staff guidance & the e-learning schedule for MS was shared when the weather was beautiful. Now that it's getting colder I wanted to reshare.
The family guidance has been shared by the district & in the Kingsley Connection.
Kingsley's Black Student Union is leading "Start with Hello" week, Nov. 15-19. Start with Hello began as a part of the Sandy Hook Promise to end social isolation.
What are the Start with Hello activities?
Dan & I will be doing walk thrus on Thursday, 11.11 from 11-12. We will only get to 3-4 classrooms but wanted you to know that we may stop in. If we stop by, keep doing the great things you do everyday with kids.
When Nurse O'Brien knows of a confirmed positive case, we print the student's schedule & an administrator accesses the seating chart for each class using the seating chart master.
An administrator then visits each area to evaluate & measure the area around where the positive case has occurred to develop a tentative list of close contacts.
We then look at attendance records for all potential close contacts to confirm they were in attendance on the dates of concern. Next we phone all families, print required documentation & directions for them, and greet stressed families as they arrive, helping them process the timelines, make up work routines, and safety considerations.
Sometimes this takes at least an hour or more for each case....all the while our typical ups & downs of the school day occur.
Your accurate & updated seating charts are super helpful. Thank you for taking those extra steps! We appreciate your patience Please know that we so appreciate your patience & understanding while the office juggles these tasks.
