Happy Friday everyone! I think we can all say that October has been a LONG month but we want to say how very proud we are of all of you for continuing to promote and support student excellence both in academics and behavior. We understand how challenging this can be and we appreciate everything you do on the behalf of the KJHS students. Moreover, we appreciate how much you do to support us and each other. That truly speaks to the culture we have built and are continuing to build here at Kingsley. We hope you find some time this weekend to enjoy the beautiful show that the trees are putting on for us. Have a great weekend!
Elisa, Sylvester, Dennis & Cory

As we did last year, we are asking KJHS grade level teams to choose dress up themes for Tuesday, October 31st, in lieu of individual student costumes . Staff members not on a grade level team can either choose a theme with their staff team or use the theme of the grade level team with whom they teach advisory. If your team does not want to choose a dress up theme, feel free to wear your favorite fall flannel and encourage students to do the same. School dress code guidelines are expected to be followed as usual. We will send a message out to KJHS families this week regarding Halloween dress.
We are now accepting tutor applications and student referrals for GAP Attack. Please complete these by 10/30 so we can get the program started in November.
KJHS will be converting over to using Alpha Controls for climate control of the building. Administration will provide updates as the system is implemented.
The focus of October's PBIS lesson is on integrity and the top two infractions- disruptions and disengagement. Core teachers, if you did not do so last week, please find time this week to teach the lesson. While PBIS created these slides for the whole school, please always feel free to tailor them to fit your team's style and needs.
