FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL SCHEDULE "ADJUSTMENTS"
We wanted to give you a heads up about events that will impact classes during the first week of school. More details will be shared during the institute days on 8/16 and 8/17.
PBIS Behavior Expectations: Administration will be holding a session for each team on cafeteria behavior expectations and asking teachers to walk students through hallway expectations (we'll provide talking points) on Wednesday morning following the schedule below:
1st hour: 6th grade
2nd hour: 8th grade
3rd hour: 7th grade
Device Distribution: Device distribution will occur on Wednesday, August 17th, following the schedule below:
1:00 pm Team 6-1
1:20 pm Team 6-2
1:40 pm Team 8-1
1:55 pm Team 8-2
2:10 pm Team 7-1
2:25 pm Team 7-2
There will be a PBIS Assembly during 8th hour on Friday, August 19th. There is no adjustment to other class times that day.
SRO/AP UPDATE
Mr. Larson will be at Chiddix every Thursday beginning 8/25/22
For the first part of the school year, the KJHS SRO, Officer Phillips, will be at Chiddix on Tuesdays.
STUDENT CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
We are working on putting together an accurate list of student clubs/organizations here at Kingsley. If you sponsor a club/organization or are wanting to start one, please complete the 22-23 KJHS Clubs & Organizations Google form.
STAFF CONTACT INFORMATION
There may be times when I need to get a hold of staff members on their cellular devices. In order to avoid my having to individually enter all staff members' phone numbers, I am asking that you send me a contact card to both my personal (309-825-3657) and work (309-275-2645) cell phones. Here are directions that should make this easier...
Go to your personal Contact Card (via Contacts in your phone).
Update all contact information and add anything you want shared with me (please include 1-2 emergency contacts).
Remove any information you do not want shared with me.
Use the "Share via text message" option to send your Contact Card to me.

COVID UPDATES
There will be updates coming soon regarding what to do if you test positive for COVID. Outside of this, we are looking at returning to school as close to normal as possible.

STAFF BASH
Join us for a fun time of food and drink as we reunite after a summer apart! Families are welcome!
When: Friday, August 12th, 4:30 - 6:30 pm
Where: BloNo Pizza Company
Other Details: We will provide appetizers and there will be a cash bar. Driving range and video games are available as well.
