We are very proud of how much our students have grown this year!
As we close the 2024-2025 school year, we will be saying “see you later” (not goodbye) to several of our faculty and staff: Sarah Eaton (counselor), Marielle Jones (4th grade ELA teacher), Nevada Quire (STEM teacher), and Julia Zuhars (7th/8th ELA teacher). We wish all of them the very best in their new endeavors. We are excited to hear where their paths lead them and thank them for touching all of our lives.
We have so much to look forward to in the 2025-2026 school year! I wish all of you and your families a summer full of contentment and happiness. Soak in all of God’s goodness. I look forward to seeing you throughout the community and seeing you again in August. Happy Summer!
Lara Krill
Principal

Over the next 18 months, Archbishop Shelton is inviting all parishes and schools to engage in a comprehensive planning process designed to address organizational issues that are impacting parishes and schools:
+the available number of priests to serve parishes and parishioners
+the number of aging and underutilized facilities and properties
+the population trends and changing demographics
+the stewardship of resources
The first step, Parish Studies, is asking parishes and parish schools to provide statistical information and ask questions that are parish and school focused.
We need your assistance with the school section. There will be a parish section coming soon. Below is the link for the school feedback sections. Honest and thoughtful responses will be helpful in the process. Parish Council will review the data and help me complete the final documents to be sent to the archdiocese. Please avoid mentioning specific people in your responses. Those will be ineligible for this particular feedback document.
We need to collect these responses before FRIDAY MAY 23 so that we can stay on track to complete the final report by the August deadline.
Save the Date! Summer Picnic – Saturday, July 12th, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
We kindly request your help to enhance the success of just a few of our booths: The Gift Card Booth, Toys & Games Booth, and Candy Booth, all of which are stocked by your generosity. We appreciate your help with one, two or all three.
Gift Cards:
The gift card booth is one of the most popular at our picnic. We are requesting donations of gift cards in amounts of $10 or more.
Toys & Games:
This booth is fun for kids of all ages. We are requesting donations of items valued at $10 or more. You can use your imagination - what do your kids enjoy? Or get ideas from our Amazon Wish List.
Candy:
For those with a sweet tooth, this is the booth for you! Candy of all varieties is needed. There are several ways to participate. History has shown us that most winners choose boxed candy, like what you would get at the movies. There will also be containers in the back of church that you can collect and fill with bagged candy.
You may drop off donations during carpool in the mornings or afternoons starting 5/19/2025. You may also drop off donations to the Parish Office or bring to the Church Gathering Space each weekend between now and picnic or mail donations directly to the Parish Office.
Any questions or concerns please email festival@stgabriel.net or text Elaine Basham at 502-594-3134.
