Kindergarten Events
Tuesday, August 6- Kindergarten Parent Orientation, 5:30 p.m. in the church (parents only)
Tuesday, August 13- Little Leopards Camp, 8:30-11 a.m. Drop off/ pick up in regular carpool 8-8:30 a.m. (K students only)
Tuesday, August 13- Boo Hoo/ Yahoo Breakfast, 8-9 a.m. (parents only)- park in the church parking lot and join us in the courtyard between the church and gym after you drop off your kiddo for Little Leopards Camp
Honor Thy Child/ Safe Environment Training
Are you planning to volunteer or attend a school event this year?
Field Trip chaperones and special event volunteers need to have a background check on file and have attended the Safe Environment Training. There will be an SET at St. Gabriel Church on Tuesday, August 6 at 6:30 p.m. following Kindergarten Orientation. For more information, visit https://www.stgabriel.net/background. Coffman's Uniform sale
Wednesday, August 7 from 9:30 a.m to 6 p.m. will be St. Gabriel day with extended hours! (4951 Manslick Rd.) All St. Gabriel families will receive 10% off! Coffman's is the only place to buy PE uniforms so take advantage of this opportunity!
New Student Orientation
New students in grades 1-8 are invited to attend our new student orientation on Friday, August 9 from 9-11 a.m. Enter through the school office. Students will take a scavenger hunt through the building, play games with members of student council and more!
Meet Your Teacher
Bring your school supplies and meet your teachers August 12. This is a dropin style event. You can come anytime between 3 and 6 p.m. Be sure to stop by the cafeteria. Booths will be set up to answer your questions about bus, cafeteria, athletics, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Academy of Music and more!
Ipad orientation
August 12- All incoming 6th grade and NEW 7th and 8th grade students and parents must attend in order to receive an iPad. Meeting will be in the church. Please do not bring younger siblings as some content is not appropriate for younger audience.
Chalk the Walk
Help us welcome our students back to school with inspirational messages! Families are invited to this PTSO event on the night before school starts (August 13) as we decorate the sidewalks with chalk.

Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! Welcome especially to our new families! We welcome over 30 transfer students in grades 1-8 this year and still more are applying! This is thanks to you. Thank you for your recommendations! When you share the good news of Saint Gabriel School, others want to join the great things that are happening here!
We are busy preparing to welcome our students on Wednesday, August 14. Our renovation of the STEM lab, faculty lounge, and junior kindergarten is on schedule and looking amazing! Our teachers have participated in professional development sessions and conferences. Our maintenance team is busy cleaning, painting, and refreshing. Our summer camp staff has been on awesome adventures. Our office staff has been completing the transition to our new FACTS SIS system. It's going to be a great year!

FACTS
We are officially transitioning to FACTS SIS this year. We will no longer be using PowerSchool. We will continue to use Schoology.
Enrolled families may log in to your family portal to see information for the 2024-25 school year.
Bookmark the FACTS Family Portal login page or follow the shortcut from the school website under Parent Portal.
Our school code is SG-KY.
You will use the same username and password when you completed your enrollment packet.
To log in, visit FACTS login page and click on Family Portal.
To view your child's homeroom teacher:
Log in to family portal.
In the menu- Go to Student --> Student Home. Select student's name. If you have more than one child, select from dropdown menu. (You can only view one child at a time.)
Select Schedule. You will be able to see all your child's classes and teachers. Students have a course called Homeroom. This is the child's homeroom teacher.
Please note for privacy: DO NOT post class lists on social media or other public sites.

The school office has returned to normal hours (7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). You may also contact our staff anytime by email at school@stgabriel.net.

We are Hiring
We still need an instructional assistant for Kindergarten. View our Employment Opportunities webpage for more information.
The cafeteria is looking to fill 2 kitchen positions. The hours are 8am-1pm. Responsibilities include food preparation, serving students and kitchen clean up. Interested persons please contact Angie Kordis at akordis@stgabriel.net.
Health forms
As a reminder, please ensure we have updated immunization forms on file. Eye exams are required for incoming Kindergarten and/or new 1st grade and 6th grade students. Physical forms are required for 6th grade students. For more information, visit our Health Information page on our website. Forms may be emailed to school@stgabriel.net or turned in on Meet Your Teacher Night.

Summer Learning
Students who complete the Evan Moor summer workbook by August 15 may have a uniform break every Friday in August (August 16, 23, 30). Bring in your book to your homeroom teacher to receive a certificate!
Let Your Spirit Roar!
Are you ready for Spirit Days? This year Spirit Days will be every Friday. Students may wear a St. Gabriel shirt or jersey with uniform or PE uniform bottoms. Visit www.stgabrielshop.com to order your spirit wear items today!
Arrival and Dismissal
We will continue to use the same arrival and dismissal routes for cars and buses. We use PikMyKid for dismissal.
New parents- Be sure to download the PikMyKid app and update your dismissal preferences.
Love to sing? Join the Choir!
Choir will be offered to students in grades 3 through 8 after school on Mondays from 2:55pm to 3:45pm. Practice will be held in Church. Students in grades 3 and 4 will sing for our liturgies on Tuesday. Grades 5 through 8 will sing for the Thursday Liturgies. For more information and to register, click here.

PTSO Mission
Saint Gabriel PTSO strives:
To promote communication among parents, teachers and administration.
To provide parents and teachers assistance in all aspects of education and student growth.
To promote good will and cooperation between parents, faculty, administration, school board and parish.
To direct and coordinate parental support to the school through specific assistance activities, social functions and fund-raisers.
To organize and conduct fundraisers. Funds raised are given to Saint Gabriel the Archangel School to assist with classroom supplies, student programs, teacher and staff appreciation, social events and other programs approved by the administration.
