Winter MAP testing begins Jnauary 9. Please make an extra effort to ensure your child arrives on time, eats breakfast, and has a snack on testing days. While MAP is only one snapshot of how your child is doing, it does provide valuable data to help teachers plan instruction to meet your child's learning needs.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Christmas truly is one of the most wonderful times of the year. For many, there are warm parties, cozy homes, fun traditions to celebrate, and gifts to be shared. It’s a joyous time of celebration. However, sometimes we get lost in the season and forget the reason we celebrate it to begin with. Among the hustle and bustle we may forget the true meaning of Christmas.
Christmas is about the birth of Jesus. It is about how he came to give us love, hope, and joy. That message never changes from year to year. This time of the year can get stressful so remembering this meaning is good news worth celebrating!
The holiday season is a busy time and it is easy to slip into the chaos and push aside the real reason for the holiday. Let’s find the joy and celebrate the time of God showing his great love for us. There are ways to make Christmas special for your family. Santa, Christmas trees, and gifts are fun but the true meaning of Christmas can easily get lost with our children. Teaching kids the true meaning of Christmas can be fun and meaningful.
Here are some simple and quick ideas to help put the focus of Christmas back on CHRIST:
Make a birthday cake for Jesus
Make a Jesse tree during Advent
Participate in a family service project
Watch bible videos together about the nativity
Display kid - friendly nativity sets
Listen to Christmas hymns
Read a Christmas book together
Act out or read the nativity story
Fill up an empty manger with straw each time you do some kind of service
Light an Advent candle and read a scripture each night
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given” Isaiah 9:6
Merry Christmas,
Jennifer Schulz
Assistant Principal

Many of you are familiar with the FACTS Management System for tuition payments and tuition assistance applications. This year Saint Gabriel School and Preschool will be transitioning to utilizing FACTS for enrollment as well. FACTS will replace the online registration system/ mailed tuition agreements that we used in the past, and families will use your same FACTS login. The hope is to streamline the registration experience for families.
