Saint Gabriel School Weekly Newsletter for Parents
Happy Summer!
This is such a busy time of year for everyone, and while we are enjoying the beautiful weather and spring/summer sports, we have been very busy at school wrapping up the 2023-2024 school year and preparing for the 2024-2025 school year.
This school year has been such a great one! While we celebrated many wonderful St. Gabriel traditions like our Walkathon, BooOctober, Stations of the Cross, Talent Show and Pep Rallies, we had a lot of fun adding some new things to our calendar like Spirit Week, Eat Lunch with Your Child days, Rice Bowl penny challenge, and May procession. It has been a year full of achievements, fun, and memories made.
As we close the 2023-2024 school year, we will be saying “see you later” (not goodbye) to several of our faculty and staff: Courtney Dexter (STEM teacher), Leigh Ann Gahn (library assistant), Pattie Mattingly (2nd grade instructional assistant), Angie Robbins (1st grade instrucitonal assistant), Erin Rose (2nd grade instructional assistant), Audry Schaefer (4th grade teacher), Martha Tribbey (7th/8th grade teacher), Joan Whitlock (2nd grade instructional assistant). We wish all of them the very best in their new endeavors. We are excited to hear where their paths lead them and thank them for touching all of our lives.
We have so much to look forward to in the 2024-2025 school year. We are busy hiring new faculty and staff, transitioning to the new FACTS system, renovating the STEM lab/ faculty lounge/ JK classrooms, and planning special events. You can watch for an email from the office in late July with more specifics.
I wish all of you and your families a summer full of contentment and happiness. Soak in all of God’s goodness. I look forward to seeing you throughout the community and seeing you again in August. Happy Summer!
