Backend Integration Guide
Keba stations can be integrated into the eCarUp billing system in just a few steps and free of charge. Once installed in your account, you can easily define the terms of use of your stations yourself (prices, users, available times, etc.). You decide who can charge, when and at what price. KEBA Wallbox
Preparatory steps for the integration of OCPP stations into the eCarUp Cloud
Install your Keba Charging station and connect your computer to the same network as the charging station
Create account in the eCarUp app
Log into the eCarUp web portal with your account data and click on the "OCPP" tab
Copy the URL to the clipboard and store it at the desired station in the web interface.
⚠️ Important: Update your stations firmware to at least 1.9.1 or newer. You can find the newest version at KeContact Downloads
KEBA Measurement & Calibration Law in Germany
With the KEBA ME charging stations, semi-public and public charging processes can be easily billed by credit card using eCarUp in accordance with the applicable measurement and calibration regulations. Read more: Calibration law in Germany.
Important: Firmware Verison !
In order to install your KEBA x-series charging station (also M&E / firmware version: 1.9.1 or newer / latest software always at KEBA downloads) into an eCarUp account, the following preparations must be made:
Integration of the x-series
Connect your computer to the station's IP address. The IP address is shown on the display of the station.
Please log in:
Default user name: admin
Default Password: Keba_xxxx (serial number of the station)
Now make the following settings under OCPP:
Chargepoint Identity: "Station names"
Attention: the station name (Chargepoint Identity) must not contain any spaces or special characters - with the exception of the underscore "_". After successful integration on the eCarUp platform, the station can be easily renamed.
OCPP Communication Type: "OCPP 1.6 JSON"
Central System Hostname: "www.ecarup.com"
Central System Port: "80"
Central System Path: "api / Ocpp16 / {code from the ecarup website}". You saved this in step three in the preparation (see above).
4. Device configuration
Menu: Configuration --> Devices (page build-up takes a while)
Authorisation: AN
Online Authorisation Mode: First Online
Note: If your company supports a proxy in the system, you can make these settings directly on the KEBA station.
The KEBA x-series charging station is now registered in your eCarUp account. Now you can define the terms of use of the charging station in the eCarUp web portal.
Integration of the c-series
KEBA c-series charging stations can be installed as slaves of KEBA x-series charging stations. Just as with the x-series, you can easily define the terms of use of your stations yourself as soon as it is installed in your account. You decide who can charge, when and at what price.
Set the DIP switch "DSW2.5" to "On" in the secondary station
Connect your computer to the IP address of the primary station (the x-series KEBA charging station).
Default user name: admin
Default password: Serial number of the KEBA x-Series charging station
3. Now make the following settings under OCPP:
Under Operation Mode, switch to Charging Network
Enter the number of secondaries
Enter the serial number of the secondaries
Advanced setting via maintenance tool (eCarUp Premium)
The upload interval of the Meter Values may vary from station to station.
We recommend an interval between 30-60s. This is the only way we can better calculate and display the current charging power on the app.
You can change this as follows:
Get Configuration (to read out what is programmed).
Change Configuration (to overwrite the value)
