eCarUp web portal
Log in to the eCarUp web portal with your existing login data or if you do not yet have a user account, you can also register directly.
Create eCarUp account
Note: When creating a smart-me account, an eCarUp account with the same name is automatically created and vice versa. The portals are licensed differently and if handled incorrectly, licences could become necessary, especially on the smart-me side. To avoid this, follow the rules below.
Working with OCPP stations:
With OCPP stations, please use an additional and separate account to the already existing smart-me account to avoid additional professional licences at smart-me. (1x Professional Licence per OCPP station account)
If there is no smart-me installation in the building, you are free to create a new account that suits you.
Working with smart-me Pico charging stations:
You can integrate the Pico charging station into an existing smart-me account. To do this, log in to eCarUp with the existing smart-me account information.
If there is no smart-me installation in this building yet, you are free to create a new account that suits you.

Activate station from the web portal
For a station with multiple connectors (e.g. ABB Terra or EV-TEC), the parameters described above can be edited individually per connector.
Define operating mode and times
Basically, three different operating modes can be defined for charging stations in the eCarUp backend:
Private: Only the owner account can activate the charging station, i.e. the account in which the station was installed.
Limited: Only the owner account and the defined special users per station (via individual special users or via the extended user management) can activate the charging station. Other accounts have no access - neither via app nor via QR code.
Public: All users can activate the charging station, either via app or via QR-code instant payment method via cell phone camera or scanner app (with the status "public", however, the station is not yet published in a roaming network at other store networks, this must be done separately).
The opening hours can also be differentiated in terms of time, so that the charging stations are only publicly available during part of the day (similar to AirBnB):
In a example, an SME can provide charging stations for employees (special users) during opening hours at a special price. In the evening and on weekends, the (otherwise unused) charging stations can be made available to the public at a different price.
This creates a win-win situation: The station owner can earn money with the charging infrastructure that is installed anyway and more publicly accessible charging points are created (also in places as for instance industrial areas where otherwise no investment is made in public charging infrastructure).
Set location
Set the location of the station on the map and, if necessary, adjust the address manually. Attention, please be sure to set the "needle" on the map.
The location can now also be deleted.
Define users
Maintain the authorised special users with special conditions (e.g. access times or prices).
Only users who have authorisation for your station will then see the station on the map and in the list of nearby stations on the app. All others do not.
Attention: Your special user must already have created an eCarUp account.
Define times
Define who can access the station and when (Public, Limited, Private). This allows you to release your station for other users at any time when you do not need the charging point yourself (e.g. outside opening hours or at the weekend).
Account and payment
Revenue: Credit from the charging processes at the stations in this account ready for payment.
Legal information: As a station owner, you must provide some information for legal reasons (money laundering) due to the Know Your Customer principle that applies in Europe. These differ as a private person or as a company.
Verify Account: After successfully entering the "legal information", your account must be verified. To do this, you will be taken to the landing page of Stripe (online payment service provider). There you will be guided step by step. Under the following Wiki page you will find even more on this topic.
Bank account information: Enter the IBAN number of the bank account to which the payout shall be transferred.
Payout: Request the payout of the currently available balance in your account. The bank transfer usually takes 2-3 working days.
VAT Information: This value will be shown on the payout receipt and driver receipts
Change email and password
Support contact information: Here you can place useful information for the driver.
Payout history: The station owner can see the payout history here and can resend the receipt to the email address.
Drivers
You can also log into the eCarUp web portal as a driver. Under the menu item Drivers you will find all charging processes of the account and can filter them by any time period.
Drivers can also add any RFID card (e.g. an employee patch) to their account to identify themselves at RFID-enabled charging stations. The instructions for this can be found on the RFID / NFC Tags page.
