Infos:
You can think of eCarUp as a platform where various station operators can connect their charging points to us and then operate them independently and at their own conditions. We - the eCarUp backend - are basically the technology supplier and provide the software system for the billing and management of the e-charging stations, but are not directly the station owner and do not sell the electricity directly.
In this consequence, the station owner is responsible for the operation of his charging points, this includes e.g. the following topics:
Prices for energy and parking time (including VAT rate).
Opening hours
Parking management (e.g. bus management)
Maintenance / servicing and care of the charging points
Labelling (with QR code)
Information about the station including contact details
If you encounter problems in one of these areas when using a charging station operated via eCarUp, we can only provide limited assistance and it is always worth contacting the station operator.
If you want to connect and operate charging stations with the eCarUp platform, you can find help in the following places:
A list of the stations we have tested can be found here: OCPP Charging Stations
Help for the commissioning of your OCPP station can be found here: Commissioning OCPP station

eCarUp itself does not run a project business (consulting and installation of charging points), but we are building a growing partner network. You can find all partners trained in our technology on the homepage. Alternatively, you are welcome to make your trusted installation company aware of our solution - we are happy to train new partners.
Account structure:
We at eCarUp recommend creating one account per property, which has the following advantages:
All income is transparently allocated to the respective properties (otherwise all income flows into one account and these amounts have to be divided via a report). (This is a considerable additional administrative and accounting effort).
If a client does not continue to receive the service via the accounting service provider, the existing account can be transferred without further configuration by means of an e-mail address (and change password).
By means of roles and rights, the property accounts can be linked to a master account. You can find the instructions here: Roles and rights
As soon as a smart-me ZEV exists, the account and the OCPP station must be separated.
eCarUp in combination with smart-me (ZEV)
Note: When creating a smart-me account, an eCarUp account with the same name is automatically created and vice versa. The portals are licensed differently and if handled incorrectly, licences could become necessary, especially on the smart-me side. To avoid this follow the rules below.
OCPP stations:
With OCPP stations, please use an additional and separate eCarUp account (see instructions below) to the already existing smart-me account in order to avoid additional Professional licences at smart-me. (1x professional licence per OCPP charging station connection).
If there is no smart-me installation in your building, you can create a new account that suits you.
smart-me Pico charging stations:
You can integrate the Pico charging station into an existing smart-me account. Log in to eCarUp with your existing smart-me account information.
If there is no smart-me installation in your building, you can create a new account that suits you.
