Billing with debit & credit card

The payment is fully automated. The funds are booked directly through our payment service provider.

Debit & credit card transactions

If a chargeable transaction takes place at an eCarUp station, the corresponding amount (based on the price set by the station owner) is charged to the debit or credit card deposited by the driver immediately after the charging process. The credit is transferred to an account of the station owner completely automatically.

Transactions below CHF 0.50 are not processed by the system.

The following debit & credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB.

Payment:

To pay for the charging process with the eCarUp app, the user stores a debit or credit card in the app under Account. The amount for each charging process is debited from the stored card immediately after deactivation.

The amount is calculated according to consumption (you only pay as much as you have charged) based on the price defined by the station operator for the energy and parking time.

There are no further charges.

Drivers automatically receive a receipt by e-mail immediately after charging. From time to time, this may end up in the spam folder.

Important: The VAT information is deposited by the station owner on the basis of his own conditions (private individuals or foundations, for example, are not subject to VAT).

Quittung für den Fahrer

Have you received any additional charges on the credit card statement from the provider in addition to the price of the load?

This may affect drivers in the EU area and must be clarified with the credit card provider. In most of the general terms and conditions of the card provider, there is the following sentence, for example:

"Payment transactions in which amounts in euros are transferred to an account in an EEA member state that is not part of the euro currency area and in which the currency conversion is carried out."

Then we ask you to contact the card provider.
