To use the eCarUp API, you need an eCarUp Premium license.
The API (Application Programming Interface) is a collection of commands that enable different software applications to communicate with each other.
To use the eCarUp API, proceed as follows:
Log in to the smart-me web portal (parent company) with your e-mail and password.
Go to Configuration and select API. (Image 1)
Click on Add device (Client Credentials)
For the authorization you need user.read and device.read. Then click on create/save. (Image 2)
Important, a field with Client ID and Client Secret then appears. These are the access data for the API authorization. Save this access data somewhere safe.
The field only appears once.
