If a payment with the credit or debit card deposited in eCarUp has failed (e.g. because the card was blocked or not covered at the time in question), no further debits can be made with this eCarUp account until the outstanding amount has been settled.
The following reasons may lead to this:
The deposited card was blocked at the time of the attempted debit.
The deposited card had insufficient funds at the time of the attempted debit.
The deposited card has expired
There was some other problem with the card
You have the following options:
Update the credit card information in the app.
A "Failed payment" button will appear in the app, allowing you to re-trigger the previously failed payment when your credit card is working again.
Info: This is a security mechanism for the station operators.
If you want to change your credit card in the app, you can do this under “Account -> Means of payment.”
Then go to “Edit” (if a credit card has already been added) and enter your new credit card.
If no credit card has been added, you can click on “+” to add one.
As soon as you have added the card, charges can be made and, if there is an open charge, it can be paid.
