Backend Integration Guide
Integrate EV stations that contain a Bender controller in just a few steps and free of charge into the eCarUp backend. Once installed in your account, you can easily decide who can charge, when and at what price. Learn more about how OCPP stations work with eCarUp in general.
The following charging station types compatible with eCarUp have a built-in Bender controller:
Ensto Chago Wallbox
Mennekes Professional
Ebee Berlin Charging Pole
Garo Wallbox GLB+
Garo LS4 Compact
Preparatory steps for the integration of OCPP stations into the eCarUp Cloud
Your charging station is installed and your computer is in the same network as the charging station
You have created an account in the eCarUp app
Log into the eCarUp web portal with your account data and click on the "OCPP" tab in the menu on the left under Stations
Copy the URL to the clipboard and store it at the desired station in the web interface.
Integration into the eCarUp portal
1. Connect your laptop with a USB cord to the Bender controller.
Important: Use the Micro-USB interface
2. Open your browner
Enter the following URL: http://192.168.123.123/operator/
Default user name: operator
Default password: yellow_zone
3. Check firmware version:
The latest version can be found under State -> Firmware Version.
At least version 4.00-2139 must be installed.
If necessary, update your firmware:
a) Copy the firmware file to a USB stick. Insert the USB stick.
b) Restart the Bender Controller
4. Configure the bender controller
OCPP Mode: OCPP-J 1.6
WebSocket JSON OCPP Url: ws://www.ecarup.com/api/Ocpp16/{ecarupID}/
Important: After the eCarUp OCPP URL, the addition of a "/" is necessary. Additionally, no special characters (+, _, ") are allowed in the "ChargePoint ID (OCPP).
Advanced setting via maintenance tool (eCarUp Premium)
The upload interval of the Meter Values may vary from station to station.
We recommend an interval between 30-60s. This is the only way we can better calculate and display the current charging power on the app.
You can change this as follows:
Get Configuration (to read out what is programmed).
Change Configuration (to overwrite the value)
