Backend Integration Guide

Integrate EV stations that contain a Bender controller in just a few steps and free of charge into the eCarUp backend. Once installed in your account, you can easily decide who can charge, when and at what price. Learn more about how OCPP stations work with eCarUp in general.

The following charging station types compatible with eCarUp have a built-in Bender controller:

Preparatory steps for the integration of OCPP stations into the eCarUp Cloud

Integration into the eCarUp portal

1. Connect your laptop with a USB cord to the Bender controller.

Important: Use the Micro-USB interface

2. Open your browner

Enter the following URL: http://192.168.123.123/operator/

Default user name: operator

Default password: yellow_zone


3. Check firmware version: 

The latest version can be found under State -> Firmware Version.

At least version 4.00-2139 must be installed.

If necessary, update your firmware:

a) Copy the firmware file to a USB stick. Insert the USB stick.

b) Restart the Bender Controller

4. Configure the bender controller

OCPP Mode: OCPP-J 1.6

WebSocket JSON OCPP Url: ws://www.ecarup.com/api/Ocpp16/{ecarupID}/

Important:  After the eCarUp OCPP URL, the addition of a "/" is necessary.  Additionally, no special characters (+, _, ") are allowed in the "ChargePoint ID (OCPP).

Advanced setting via maintenance tool (eCarUp Premium) 

The upload interval of the Meter Values may vary from station to station.

We recommend an interval between 30-60s. This is the only way we can better calculate and display the current charging power on the app.
