eCarUp charging stations can also be easily activated by users without an eCarUp app.

1. Scan the QR code on the charging station with a QR code scanner of your choice or your mobile phone camera. You will be redirected to a website.

2. Continue as guest

3. You will then see information and costs for the station. Enter your credit or debit card information or use Apple & Google Pay. 

4. Fill in the field for your email address (to send the receipt and permanent link).

5. Then click on Activate, and the download process will start.

Note: As we do not know the driver, we reserve CHF 60.- or 80.- (is calculated based on the amount set by the station operator) on the credit card and refund the difference after the charging process is completed. 

If charging is unsuccessful, the blocked funds are automatically released again. eCarUp does not unlawfully retain any credit.

6. You get to the overview and see the current charging process. (Attention: this live data can vary depending on the station manufacturer).

8. Again the Field for the e-mail address (for sending the receipt and the permanent link). Please click on send.

Important: Some mobile phones save the browser content (cache) and if you accidentally close the browser, you can scan the QR code again with the mobile phone camera and get back to this overview. 

 9. Once you have finished charging, you can download the receipt. You can see what an eCarUp receipt looks like after charging by clicking on the following LINK.
