eCarUp stations can be labeled with a QR code. This fulfills several functions:
Users with the eCarUp app can scan the QR code directly with the app and then land at the right station.
Users without the eCarUp app can save the QR code with a QR code scanner or the mobile phone camera and then make a one-off payment using our web-based instant payment.
Create QR code:
To create the QR code, select a station in your account or enter the serial number of the e-charging station you are using and click "Create".
A QR code will be created. This serves as a fallback option. If a user cannot scan the QR code for an unknown reason (e.g. smartphone camera is broken), he can enter this QR code at www.ecarup.com/code/ and also initiate a one-time payment. Optionally, you can also define your own QR code and exchange it for the random sequence of numbers.
Then click on "Download" to download the QR code. This can then be used for the address or the label of the station. There are eCarUp products (e.g. Bauer charging box) that have the QR code already printed on them.
Alternatively, premium resin labels including QR codes can be ordered from eCarUp for an extra charge.
Label Generator
As a station operator, you can now generate your own labels for your charging stations. There are three templates to choose from. An A4 PDF is generated which can be printed on labels. We recommend weatherproof labels:
Small 42.3 x 21.2mm, Zweckform L7911-10
Medium: 99.1 x 42.3mm, Zweckform J4776-10, Herma 9533
Large: 99.1 x 67.7mm, Zweckform L4715-20
When printing, please note that the PDF may not be scaled.
Click on Login at the top right, use your eCarUp login.
On the left side please select Station Labels.
Your charging points will be listed.
Select the charging point and click on Create.
Select the desired size and click Continue.
Then fill in the contact details and click Continue.
The label for your charging station will be created.

We recommend placing the QR code either in white on a dark background or in black on a white background.
