Daniel SILLIMAN (1660 - 1697) and Abigail OGDEN (1666 - 1705)

Daniel SILLIMAN was born about 1660 to 1663 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, CT. The date is a guess, since no record seems to exist. He died in 1697, in Fairfield. His parents were Daniel and Peaceable SILLIMAN/SILLIVANT.

Daniel SILLIMAN Jr married in 1687 to Abigail OGDEN, daughter of Richard OGDEN. They lived in Fairfield and had 6 children. Abigail's birth and death dates are uncertain. Some have claimed that she was born in 1666 and died in 1705, but I have not seen any evidence. She must have had some of her 6 children by the time she was baptized, on 30 Dec 1694. The first 5 children were all baptized on 12 May 1695, and the 6th on 11 Apr 1697.

Daniel's estate inventory was signed by his wife, Abigail, on 4 Feb 1697, so he died before that date, and she after. The youngest child was baptized 2 months later, so she may have been born after her father died. At any rate, Abigail was left with 6 children age 10 or under. It seems that they were distributed to other family members for upbringing.
