Martin, James

James MARTIN (? - aft. 1786) and Ann BREWEN (? - 1784)

my 5g-grandparents

Note: This James MARTIN lived in England. He is unrelated to the MARTINs on the paternal side of my tree, who immigrated to the US from Germany, where the name was spelled MERTEN.

James MARTIN and Ann BREWEN lived in Hacconby, a small village in southern Lincolnshire, England. It seems that the first known record of them is their marriage, on 19 Dec 1748, in Hacconby. They had at least 6 children, from 1750 to 1766, in Hacconby.

Ann died in 1784, and James remarried, to Mary SMITH, on 23 Nov 1786 in Hacconby.
