Sticky Bottom Cake

    • 6oz (175g) sugar
    • 4oz (125g) lard
    • 4oz (125g) sultanas
    • 4oz (125g) currants
    • 8oz (250g) S/R flour
    • 2 teaspns mixed spice
    • 1 cup (284ml) water
    1. Place everything in saucepan heat then leave to cool
    2. Add the sieved flour
    3. Bake to 1 hour 170C Gas Mark 3
