56 X BUICK MAY 24 2011 - Another great work session. Without the volunteers, each one of them, this car would have been never started must less the great progress made in 2010 & 2011. Unfortunately the May 24 is the last official work session until the fall of 2011.
Volunteers: Jim Baker, Mike Ball, Al Batts, Bob Boorsma, Del Carpenter, Connie DeJong, Les Dewey, Ron Elzinga, Don Feutz, Don Mayton
Art Meidema, Dick Saddler, Chuck Snow.
We need to be in prayer for Bruck Beimers (Futurliner) who is having a shoulder operation tomorrow for skin cancer. Also we need to pray for Don Feutz who injured his back while at work last week. It has been so bad that he can hardly more. The doctors have not figured out his next step other than pain medicine.
The first photograph is Dick Saddler working on the brake pedal preparing it for chrome plating. There are several photographs of the wheel spinners after coming back from the chrome plater.
The balance of the photographs on this page is installing the 56X body on our spare chassis. We decided to do all the work fitting the doors, deck lid, front fenders, and hood on the body. Then once everything is lined up properly then install all the trim. There are several trim pieces that must be made and we want everything lined up prior to painting .
Continue onto next e-mail for additional photographs.
