Subject: 56X BUICK APRIL 14 2015 WORK REPORT
56X WORK REPORT FOR APRIL 14, 2015.
Al continues to document our weekly work progress with valuable photographs. The first three photographs show the work Ron and Connie making and altering, installing and fitting fasteners on the bottom of the rocker trim pieces.
There are three sections of this rocker trim for each side and they must be exactly even and fit to the body so there is no gap. So this project is taking longer than normal.
Photo #4 shows Del and Jerry preparing the #1 engine (2-4 BBL engine built) to be removed and then the 4 - single barrel YH Carter side draft carbureted engine installed. Actually we will end up with two different engines for this car.
Ken Tuinstra came and repaired out electrical problem with the right front swivel seat. It was a loose connection which he fixed in less than a minute. Ken continued to work on the right seat and Jim also worked on this seat along with Don M.
At the closing of the day a vehicle that supplies the vehicle's fuel by "WOOD BURNING" drove up. No, its not steam powered. The wood burning generates a gas which supplies fuel to the vehicle's engine. Yes, this local person created this wood burner following others drawing starting this past fall and here it is running. I am going to attempt to have this person bring it to our June AACA show. How many have you seen?
