Subject: 56 X BUICK SESSION NOV 19 2013
VOLUNTEERS - Jim Baker, Al Batts, Jerry Bush, Del, Dick Chambers, Ron Elzinga, Don Feutz, Don Mayton, Art Meidema, Dick Saddler.
We have to remember Don Feutz in prayer as he will be having surgery on his throat tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4. Let us pray that the operation is successful and that Don will heal successfully. God does answer prayers!
Photos #1 & 2 show the Seminole Red frame with the restored lower portion of the bumper installed. Although the Dagmars are finished we are waiting for the driving light bezels to be returned from the chrome plating operation.
Ron Elzinga along with Art and Del did the work on the assembling of the front bumper with the painting of the lower 1/3 corners done by Art and Connie.
Photos #3 & 4 show Don Feutz's hands as he prepares the inside door handles for the chrome plating operation. Don has prepared many of the parts for plating.
Photos #5 & 6 & 7 show Art preparing some of the convertible top irons for chrome plating. The photo # 7 shows Dick Chambers working on another convertible top iron. Art, Dick Chambers along with Dick Saddler have been focusing on these arms in the past few weeks with the intention this winter to reassemble the top mechanics and install the top. Then install the new cylinders pump and plumbing for the tops trial operation.
Photos #8 & 9 shows our "Dagmar Specialist", Ron, doing the final fitting on the driving light bezels that fit inside the Dagmars. These driving light bezels have already been shipped to our chrome plater.
Photo #10 shows the hands of Jerry Bush as he assembles the last remaining 1929-55X side curtain rod. When we delivered the 1929-55X to Brian to have the side curtains installed we had one place we could not figure the side curtain arrangements. Once we looked at the original very deteriorated side curtains we realized there was one side curtain rod missing. Jerry took on the job of making this rod and it will be delivered to Brian once it is painted.
