Photos #1, 2, & 3. The placement of the seats along with the fiber glass convertible boot along with the rear bucket seat positions. Chuck, Jim Baker, and others are working on this.
Photo #4 shows the back side of the aluminum rocker panel. Here the custom made retaining clips are being fitted into the rear slots of the aluminum rocker panel. Both the right and left had the clips attached with Ron altering all the clips and with Connie and Art helping fitting the clips into the back side of the rocker panels.
Photo #5 & #6 shows the special exhaust pipe hanger that Del sand blasted then painted and by the end of the work session was mounted in place.
Photo #7 & #8 shows Don Feutz's hands as he sands away the blisters that occurred from close to 60 years of exposure. This part is part of the tail light assembly. These parts are being prepared for chrome plating.
Photo #9 shows parts for the upper instrument panel with their final blue paint. Connie and Art have just finished these parts.
Photo #10 shows a temporary wiring hook up to test the driver's rotating seat for clearance with the driver shaft tunnel, the left door, the rear seat, and the position with the steering wheel. Jim Baker and Chuck Snow have been coordinating their work here.
Jerry Bush continued to work on the various parts for the convertible top arms.
Dick Saddler worked on some parts sand blasting them for painting.
BUICK 1929-55X
Chuck snow has installed the four painted trim pieces that are under each door. In addition the day before, Del finished the adjustment of all the parameters after installing the restored distributor. The car starts and runs great.
Dick Saddler has been preparing some parts for chrome plating for the wind wing brackets.
The previous week the inside of the rear trunk was painted by Don M.
FUTURLINER: Mike Ball spent some time researching details about the air brake installation for the folks in Utah restoring a Futurliner that was recently acquired. He also helped file recent information that we had received. We also finished some detail planning on the film group coming in August from Australia. Stay tuned for this item.
