BUICK CENTURY 1956X - February 1, 2011 -
Volunteers - Mike Ball, Al Batts, Don Bratt, Jerry Bush, Del Carpenter,
Connie DeJong, Don Feutz, Don Mayton, Art Meidema, Dick Saddler, Chuck Snow,
We had a very short work session due to our morning Futurliner planning meeting. Most of those working on the 1956X Buick are also the Futurliner Volunteers. Also our weather folks had been predicting the colossal storm that was suppose to arrive at 5 PM. It did arrive with 17" of snow here in Zeeland that was in drifts up to 5' high.
Again, Al's photographing shows some of the work being done.
Again a big crew, Chuck, Art, Connie, was preparing the suspension, differential, torque tube for the final primer painting. Del and Jerry were starting to install the brake lines. They were making many trips to the spare frame as well as the parts car outside to determine the exact original routing of these lines.
Dick Saddler is doing finite work making the letters as well as the drilling and tapping holes for the #4-40 fastening screws.
See you next week.
