Photo #1 shows Don Feutz's hands as we worked to make one of the latches that secures the parade boot to the body of the car. We only had one original and although
we previously made one it did not come out good enough to be used by the chrome plate shop. So it was decided to use heavier metal for this boot latch.
Photo #2 ,#3 & #4 show Dick Saddler's hands as he is polishing the top convertible bow handle that latches the top to the top of the windshield header. This part was dropped off at the chrome shop on the way to Ohio this past weekend.
Bob Boosrma is working on the instrument panel in photo #5 & #6. Connie is also helping as they are preparing the panel to be painted at the original had dark spots that would not cleanup.
Bob continues to prepare the instrument pad in photos #7 & #8.
Connie applies the paint onto the padded instrument panel.
Del and Jerry Bush make final adjustments on the 66 Buick wagon and then took it for a test drive. We drove it to lunch and declared it is fixed. Thanks for the patience of Del with Jerry's help on this project.
The work on the power seats continues as Ken works on the wiring. Some disassembly was done to make sure we had sufficient grease to the bearings on the turning plate.
Art paid us a visit and we caught up with him on what we were doing in this stage of the 56X restoration.
Chuck was doing some fitting of the console for between the two front seats. It appears with the location changes Jim has made on the two front bucket seats we have door clearance as well as clearance for the rotating seats.
Ken continues to work on the wiring to make sure that the system can be serviced.
