56 X BUICK SESSION MAY 22, 2012
VOLUNTEERS - Jim Baker, Al Batts, Bob Boorsma, Jerry Bush, Del Carpenter, Dick Chambers, Connie DeJong, Ron Elzinga, Don Feutz, Don Mayton, Art Meidema, Dick Saddler, Chuck Snow,
#15 The number is tied to the photo. This shows Don M. behind the steering wheel of a 56 Buick Century 2 door HT parts car in behind my barn. What is important about this photograph is the final version of Jim Baker's front rotating power bucket seat construction to make sure Jim has got the correct height. Jim has really done an outstanding job of engineering the seat and packaging it in a small enough space to obtain the proper seat height.
#14 Parts ready to go to the chrome plater. The only production part here is the side front fender port hole or ventiport or what ever nick name you put on it. All the other parts are one of a kind parts.
#'s 12 & 13 - The body and the chassis had to be moved to the east work shop for the summer to free up the car hoist so I could get some maintenance done on my other cars. Note the human power!
#11 - Art and Connie painting on primer for black metal parts.
#10 - Preparing a part for chrome plating.
#1 through #9 - Fitting all the parts for the left side exhaust through the rocker area of the 56X.
Although the photographs do not show everyone, most of those present were either working on preparing body parts or getting trim pieces ready for the chrome plating.
