For this project we were required to make an edition of four prints. These prints had to be self portraits and had have one black and white, one hand colored, one with an alternate background, and one of the artist choice. My print was of a picture of me while I was drilling a hole for a chair leg into the chair seat. I used some printing materials and a a linocut block to create my print. I used some negative and positive space to create my print. I created four artist proofs and with each one I changed the amount of ink I used. There is no story behind it and it doesn't really relate to my life too much. I struggled with creating a smooth layer of ink but I realized I could just take a paint brush and fill in spots with little ink. I would have washed my hands more so there would be less fingerprints, especially on the artist's choice print.
